Desktop Pairing

PandaTimer desktop versions (macOS and Windows) require pairing with a licensed mobile device. During the pairing process, the following information is transmitted to our license server:

  • Device identifiers: An anonymous device fingerprint for your mobile and desktop devices, used solely to verify and link your license
  • Platform type: Whether the mobile device is Android or iOS
  • One-time pairing nonce: A temporary token embedded in the QR code to authenticate the pairing request

This data is used exclusively for license verification and is not linked to any personal information. No focus session data, settings, or usage history is transmitted during pairing.

Third-Party Services

PandaTimer may use third-party services for:

  • App Store/Google Play: For app distribution and updates
  • License Server: For desktop pairing and license verification (see Desktop Pairing section above)
  • Analytics (if enabled): Anonymous usage statistics to improve the app

These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.

Data Security

Your data security is important to us. Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend:

  • Using device passcode/biometric authentication
  • Keeping your operating system updated
  • Using device encryption if available

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored on your device and remains until you:

  • Clear the app data through app settings
  • Uninstall the application
  • Reset your device

You have complete control over your data at all times.

PandaTimer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require account creation or personal information.
